In the weeks leading up to its release, Saati Ramoni‘s rollout caught my attention, making it one of the projects I eagerly anticipated for New Music Friday releases.
From the first listen, it’s evident that Muis is a gifted lyricist with an unmatched talent, and his sound has undoubtedly captured the attention of music executives in the industry.
Saati Ramoni, a phrase frequently referenced by Afro-Adura artists, holds a significant meaning – “Merciful God.” Afro Adura, primarily rooted in street culture, serves as a powerful symbol of hustle, hope, and triumph for the younger generation. Muis, through “Saati Ramoni,” has managed to connect not only with the street demographic but also with people from diverse backgrounds.
It is evident that Afro Adura’s future is in capable hands. However, Muis’s willingness to consistently grow and step out of his comfort zone suggests his potential to skillfully blend Afro Adura with other genres, ensuring a promising future for this music career.
Muis’s previous releases, including “Want You” (featuring Jinmi Abduls), and the much-loved “Pon my mind,” showcases his personal growth and authenticity. The decision to transition from King AMO to Muis not only signifies his artistic development, but also demonstrates his journey of self- introspection.
Saati Ramoni is produced by none other than NYRP, who has collaborated with SVDNEY and featured on Ejoya Class of ‘22 project. This project is A&R’d by the talented Timi Kevin Asaju.
Muis has firmly established himself as a rising star to watch, and I’m genuinely excited about his present and future endeavours.
